Bohemian Switzerland • Timetable

The easiest way to get to Czech Switzerland is by car; it is approximately 1.5 hour drive from Prague and about half the time from Dresden - by very scenic routes in both cases.
If driving from Prague, take the E55 road (in the direction of Teplice): from Lovosice you need to aim for Ústí nad Labem and from there for Děčín and Hřensko.
The route from Dresden is even simpler: (Dresden - Pirna - Koenigshtein - Bad Schandau - Schmilka - Hřensko)

Another possibility is to travel by train (for extra comfort you may choose Intercity or EuroCity train). If you opt for train, you need to continue by bus from Děčín to Hřensko or Mezni Louka (where the hiking trail begins). The bus stop is in front of the railway station. You could also take a taxi from the railway station in Děčín. This will cost you approximately CZK 300-500.

There is even an opportunity to travel to Hřensko by boat from Děčín or from Dresden. The pier in Děčín is about half a kilometer from the railway station, in Dresden it is in front of the Opera House. If you sail from Dresden you will come to Schmilka which is the closest village to Hřensko on the German side.

Travelling by train to Ústí nad Labem and there changing for Děčín is not advisable because of uncertain connection.

Upon request we could arrange special bus for your group. We could also arrange the car rental in Prague. If you need the information about it, please write us. We advise you to rent a car during weekends - it is much cheaper.
